Founded in 1969 by Verena and Luciano Santorso, Adria is one of the first touristic agencies in Bibione and the one that has been owned by the same owners for the longest time. Time has passed, but the passion and desire to always offer the best to all guests has remained the same.
At that time, Bibione was still a small tourist resort, consisting of a few hotels and a few small shops in the centre. Adria's first location was an office on Corso del Sole which, along with rentals, also had other businesses such as a currency exchange (the first in Bibione!), which at the time served primarily Austrian and German tourists.
In addition to the agency, the Santorso family has contributed to the growth of the resort since its early years with the construction of several buildings and condominiums that Luciano wanted to build, also involving renowned professionals such as architect Gian Paolo Mar, who designed the Marco Polo Tessera Airport in Venice, and architect Sergio Rigo.
The collaboration with the group of entrepreneurs who, from the very beginning, had been working to make Bibione a top-notch seaside resort was also very important. This led, for example, to the creation of a shared beach management agreement between all the hospitality operators and the creation of an active network of local businesses (and this at a time when associations and participation were still unheard of!). This synergy also gave rise to Abit, the association of Bibione's tourist agencies, which strives every year to offer new benefits to all guests of the resort.
Thanks to the dedicated work carried out under the guidance of the family, the agency has grown to the point where, during the summer, it employs over 40 people, including staff members (all multilingual), maintenance workers, and cleaning staff. Some collaborators, like Mario and Franco, have been with Adria since its early years.
Since 2011, the touristic agency has been located in its new location, still on Corso del Sole, where its legacy continues, always under the banner of quality service, efficiency, and courtesy.
